Establishing a Stanford Fund Scholarship
Your generous gift will open doors of opportunity to exceptional students from all backgrounds.
Stanford Fund Scholarships help ensure the university is able to practice need-blind admission, selecting U.S. undergraduates based solely on their talents and not on their ability to pay. The extraordinary commitment of Stanford alumni, parents, and friends makes it possible for Stanford to provide scholarships—not loans—to every U.S. undergraduate with demonstrated financial need.
Your gift of $25,000 or more per year establishes a Stanford Fund Scholarship. Scholarship funding provides a personal connection to students and a fulfilling way to give back. Donors who establish Stanford Fund Scholarships receive annual reports with information about their student recipients, and students are encouraged to write to scholarship donors. Many scholarship recipients and donors find tremendous inspiration in connecting with each other.
From a supporter
We’ve gotten letters every year from student recipients who represent unbelievable talent. You meet them, and you get rejuvenated because you realize your money is going toward somebody who is going to try pretty hard to achieve something unique in life.

From a student
Stanford is my dream school, so I am not only thankful to have been admitted here but also to be able to attend without financial burden. Ultimately, it was Stanford’s collaborative atmosphere that hooked me. I got the feeling that Stanford students were not worried about being better than each other but rather focused on growing with each other to better the world. I intend to major in bioengineering, and I hope that my future major allows me to promote equity in health care and bring some unity to the larger global community.
