Class of 1989 Reunion Campaign Report

See how you and your classmates made a difference with your 35th reunion campaign!

1989 class diamond

The 2024 class reunion campaigns have wrapped up, and we’ve tallied the results!

416 members of the Class of 1989 gave gifts and pledges to support undergraduate education, financial aid, groundbreaking research, and so much more.

That’s an impressive number, but what isn’t captured in this dollar amount is the true impact of your gifts. Your investments will create life-changing opportunities for students, fund groundbreaking research, and support the people and programs working across campus to address the world’s most pressing challenges.

We can’t thank you enough for your generosity and commitment. To all the committee members, volunteers, and alumni who gave from the heart—thank you.

Why I gave

Institutions like Stanford are the bedrock of a democracy. They contribute so much to society, in so many disciplines, with so much innovation, and forge citizens who make a difference.”

Parag Patel, ’89

Parag Patel

Stanford was an amazing learning experience on all fronts - classes, professors, peers and the general environment. So much of what I learned has made me who I am and I am grateful for the experience. I hope that others can have similar experiences and then share that with the communities they connect with later in life. Making it so others can have their own experiences is a wonderful way to honor mine and to support the future.”
